In the vast constellation of our alumni community, there gleams many individuals whose passion for hospitality has illuminated the path for countless aspiring hoteliers. Today, we come together to celebrate the remarkable journey of an esteemed institution which began its voyage 60 years ago. 

The prestigious Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Chennai has been the alma mater for thousands of students many of whom went on to create careers in the hospitality sector and some moved and made their mark elsewhere. Today, we pay tribute to the accomplishments and seek inspiration from their legacy.

My journey commenced at the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology; a premier institute renowned for nurturing exceptional talents in the field of hospitality. Here, i along with my classmates imbibed the values of dedication, creativity, and a commitment to delivering unforgettable guest experiences.

Armed with a graduate degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, i embarked on their journey into the vibrant world of tourism and hospitality. Embracing various roles in the tourism industry, I set my sights in promoting the cultural and natural wonders of their region.

It took an enormous innate understanding of the industry's intricacies which enabled me to eventually spend 40 productive years crafting exceptional guest experiences. As i ascended through the ranks, my understanding of leadership and innovative approach earned respect and admiration among peers and subordinates alike. The dedication to achieve excellence among hospitality became synonymous with the success of the establishments they served.

I finally hung up my boots and retired as the Regional Manager of Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation Ltd.

Beyond their professional accomplishments, our alumni are recognized the importance of mentorship and giving back to the community. They became a guiding light for aspiring hospitality professionals, sharing their wisdom and experiences to inspire the next generation. Their nurturing nature has contributed to the growth and success of countless individuals in the industry.

As we celebrate the journey of our esteemed alumni, we are reminded of the profound impact they have had on the world of hospitality. Their unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional experiences, their passion for continuous learning, and their selfless dedication to mentorship are qualities that inspire us all.
