The Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Taramani which is being organised by its Alumni is now all set to roll. 

The milestone event which is being held on 11th August 2023 is even more special with hundreds of Alumni members gathering for the celebrations at the premises of the Institute in Taramani, Chennai.

As a team that was mandated with organising the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of IHM Chennai, we have been working long hours to ensure that everything goes smoothly. We had to start from scratch, this included formation of a registered Alumni Association which was non-existent all these years and getting a GST registration for the association. We also ensured the website was up and running and went around finding sponsors and donors for the event. We had to arrange the venue for the event and coordinate with agencies for ticketing and managing the event both at the college and the hotel. We worked with the editorial team that has been putting together the newsletter ‘Catcalls’. Last but not the least we were constantly interacting with the college authorities who were hosting the event.  

I wish to thank members of the organising committee which met frequently over the last few months to discuss various issues associated with the event being held on 11th of August 2023. I wish to thank the executive committee team, our principal and faculty, our sponsors, advertisers, well-wishers, alumni and students of the institute for their constant support and encouragement.  

Once again, welcome to the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.
