Apoorva Lochan - Discovering the potential within
Discovering the potential within
Apoorva Lochan
From Kitchen to Meditation. That is a long way which Apoorva Lochan travelled.
After completing his three-year course from IHM, Chennai, Apoorva Lochan began his career with Le Meridien, Delhi and worked there for a year and a half. Then, the entrepreneurship bug bit him.
Wanting to be his own, Apoorva started by exporting knitwear to Europe for a while. He then got into offering relocation services to expatriates with various MNCs who were moving to India and that went on for several years. In 2006, he set up Cerebral Solutions, offering Executive Search & Learning and Development services, catering largely to an overseas clientele.
Apoorva began his tryst with meditation in 1996. He reversed sciatica and chronic lower back pain after 5 plus years of suffering, in a matter of just eight days. Thereafter, aided by Ayurveda, went on to reverse the so-called Mouth Cancer and 3rd degree Meniscus tear. These experiences gave him clear insights about holistic traditional Indian disciplines, especially how Marma can work and be effective in many of the so called 'incurable ailments'.
Using these insights gained from his own experiences, Apoorva started facilitating healing for friends, family and gradually for others, as well. He offers personalized as well as corporate Life and Health coaching sessions, to enable vibrant health and breakthroughs in various aspects of life.
Apoorva gives talks and conducts workshops across India, Bhutan & Europe. His audiences include monks, nuns, priests, diplomats, government officials, CEOs, psychologists, army and police officials, educators, students, inmates and caregivers of de-addiction centers, juvenile homes, old age homes among others.
Having been associated with the Indian School of Hospitality as Adjunct Faculty, Apoorva has designed and facilitated a special Course for post-graduate students, to enable a more fulfilling life with enhanced awareness.
A great source of satisfaction for him are the daily online meditation sessions that he facilitates and has offered 3,500+ sessions completely in the ‘gift’ culture to participants from across the world.
Apoorva has visualized, designed and co-authored a series of books on value education, ‘Happiness - a Treasure within’, currently prescribed for pre-teen pupils in various schools across India.
Apoorva, along with fellow Madacts, is one of the founder Trustees of Kshema Path Trust (www.kshemapath.org), a charitable organization focussed on the upliftment of the marginalized sections of society.
